Item description:

Wonderful enamelled and vitrified ceramic plate, entirely modeled and decorated by hand with Raphaelesque decorations and two pairs of winged horses in the brim, in full neo-Renaissance style, and a portrait of a woman in the walker with parchment and the Latin inscription "Virtutis Amor" which means "Love for virtue". Signed on the back by the italian artist Laura Cattini, dated 1930 and made in the furnaces of the city of Rome, from Italy. The ceramic biscuit is quite thick and the patina is beautiful especially on the back, perfectly in line with our dating. Unfortunately we have not found further information on this artist, we are certainly talking about a beautiful plate, well made and entirely modeled and decorated by hand, just do a quick search on the internet to get an idea of the value of similar ceramic plates made by the famous Roman manufacturers of the 30s.
