Here is a William Henry Jackson cabinet photograph showing a Prospector’s camp in Cunningham Gulch, San Juan County, Colorado. Cunningham Gulch leads to Baker’s Park (Silverton) Colorado. c1875. Noted as being from the Hayden Survey of 1874. The image shows at least three tents and two miners noted as being with the North Star and Mountaineer Lodes as well as the valley and the San Juan Mountains. What is interesting is there are two downed trees in the bottom right corner. Next to the skinny tree you can see a tripod with what might be another of Jackson’s cameras.
